Comments: How about making the Ageless Warrior. The saint ship for all the lost. Those with no hope can put their faith in in the Ageless Warrior for their redemption.
Many of us did in the past we had no hope she brought us thru and we live today.
Thanks to her crew that only served to prove that there is hope for mankind. Mankind only needs hope and to defend themselves at all costs. Stand up and be counted add to the strength of you own kind. We the crew of the USS Coral Sea did this for generations. We all survived. With minor losses. Our Proud Lady went down because of her age. Nuff said. One of the last things we of the proud lady said. She's an old bitch but still puts out when she kicked Kadaffys ass in Liybia. Enuf said |

I hope you are feeling well and will pray for all us, hevily exposed to Agent Orange and Navy SEALS, 3rd Marine Recon-Rangers! Nerve gas and other chemicals is slowly killing all of us, but it has been well worth it!!!! I am able to continue fighting and will die with my concrete boots on and go out the end of my DICK, the same way I came in to this world!!!

Comments: Having our division office next to the officers' barber shop had it's perks. First Christmas at sea ['67] was spent on an ammo unrep til early morning. Most notable experience was when a "sidewinder" launched in the forward mess deck. Fatalities involved and made for a very tense night. |

Comments: She was hazy gray and continuously underway. Ask any swabbie who has ever served aboard her. I worked under CSC Chief Patton who tried to have me shang-haied to the plane pusher's div. Since I was from Brooklyn, and he was from Geworgia, I outsmarted him, went to V2 Div. and subsequently transferred off the ship. Duty on CS was great and other than for Patton, who soured my taste for Navy life, I might have done 20. Did 3 1/2 kiddie cruise, extended for another year, having served a total of 4 1/2 yrs. Thought of going back in after I got out. Problem tho. Every time I entertained that thought I would break out in a cold sweat and start trembling as I once again heard the 1 MC announce "Now go to your stations all of the special sea and anchor detail. Make all preparations to get underway." Again B-r-r-r- Ha ha In all seriousness tho, mine was a love/hate relationship for the old girl. Mostly love tho, I must admit. Did any of you out there ever run into Richard J Fochler CS 1? |

Comments: My father served in the USN for 30 years. I was going through some of his things and found an old picture of him when he was a young Ensign doing a termination of his first jet....a "Banshee"
There are quite a few people on the flight deck with him and on the back it's quite detailed in my father's writing about the people and the event that was going on. Even at the end of the picture dad wrote: This is a classified picture DO NOT DUPLICATE.
